Saint M is a solo project by the founder and main songwriter, known as just ‘M’, from the high tech metal heavyweights Serenity Trace, from Oslo Norway.

Serenity Trace has for more than a decade made a severe impact on the underground metal scene in Oslo, playing everywhere from dusty basements to the high end clubs and festivals around the country, and their success had a lot to do with their unique sound. Their blend of metal and electronics took their music from the hardest of metal to the most fragile classic tones, through urban beats, electronica, techno, ethnic vocals and rhythms - and beyond. In front of their stage you would find people from almost every scene and walks of life, head banging and dancing together while screaming along to their songs and uniting in the sound that made up the sonic mayhem and angry words that is Serenity Trace.

Serenity Trace has gone on an indefinite hiatus and M started recording songs for what would become Saint M. In November 2020 he released his solo debut “I’m a Giant” with the single “The Logarithm”.

Saint M is a one man-band, but M seems to keep the idea open to bring in musicians and take it to the stage if it “gets popular enough”. Either way, Saint M will be his platform for further exploration of his music and style. In the past he has worked with a huge diversity of musicians, both together with Serenity Trace and in other projects outside of his stage identity, and had some exceptional ideas that was never acted upon in his band.
